Time & Calendar
Kepler operates on a 24-hour day and a 372-day year. The calendar is divided into twelve months, each containing exactly 31 days.
Global Time Zones
Kepler’s immense geographic scale places its civilizations across multiple time zones. Salvation Island, located near the center of the known world, serves as the global reference point at +0. Most of the Ten Great Sovereigns span multiple time zones rather than existing entirely within a single zone.
| Sovereign | Time Zones | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Kanata | 1 | +0 |
| Holy Metzia | 2 | 0 to -3 |
| Hordad | 3 | +8 to +10 |
| Atteria | 3 | -1 to -5 |
| Teranua | 4 | +1 to +5 |
| Eiria | 5 | +0 to -6 |
| Sang | 5 | +4 to +10 |
| Jureslavia | 6 | +1 to +8 |
| Delsur | 7 | -2 to -9 |
| Uttaria | 9 | -2 to -12 |
Annual Cycle
Kepler’s year is divided into four periods. Each period lasts 93 days, or three 31-day months.
Planetary Scale
Kepler is a massive planet, possessing the surface area of approximately one-and-a-half times a conventional human-habitable world. Approximately 60% of its surface is covered by water and 40% by land.

| 14. Ashura Grando | 30,000 sq. miles |
| 15. Remaining Straggler Territories and Unclaimed/Uncharted Lands | ~30–31 million sq. miles |
Transportation
Kepler’s immense geographic scale is offset by an extensive network of high-speed transportation systems connecting its civilizations.
Planetary Travel
The scale of Kepler can be measured against the theoretical time required for a signal or physical phenomenon to travel once around the planet.
