Religions Of Kepler

THEOLOGICAL COMPENDIUM

I. LALUMISM: The Ancient Faith

Lalumism is the oldest and most populous religion on Kepler, approximately 1,000 years old.

Lalumism predates the geopolitical borders of the modern Great Sovereigns. It is the organic, foundational faith of the global Strigoi population, emphasizing natural harmony, human uniqueness, and the organic ebb and flow of the universe.

Status: The oldest and most populous religion on Kepler.

Official State Religion: Evelyn, Hordad, Jureslavia.

Practiced by Many: Sang, Eiria, Uttaria.

Defunct States: Irie, Sacrasula, Juresalem.

Lalume

Lalume is believed to be the mortal incarnation of the Omnibenevolent Progenitor.

She embodies the pillars of Creation, Liberty, and Balance, acting as the patron of free will and nature.

Petar Blagojevich

Petar Blagojevich was a mortal scribe who worked alongside Lalume. Burdened with domains the Goddess would not touch, he governs the void of the afterlife: Death, Chaos, and Eternity.

Lenore

Lenore is the central holy text authored by Blagojevich. It is a melancholic, philosophical tome documenting Lalume’s life and her pursuit of balance while embracing the inevitability of the void.

Daily Prayer

Lalumists pray at least once a day facing the direction of the Alba Luli River, which runs through all of Northern Jureslavia into a minor passage of southern Sang.

Crimson Requiem & Lalumist Observance

In Lalumism, the Crimson Requiem is a rite of passage observed on March 15, coinciding with the rare daytime full moon that happens yearly on that day.

Lalumists believe that true harmony requires active, visceral participation. They practice a localized, instinctual ritual on the Night of Unburdening that honors Petar Blagojevich’s domain of the void.

The Solitary Pyres

Lalumist adherents practice the Wax Confessions in isolation or small woodland circles. Sins and emotional burdens are carved into beeswax harvested from local wild hives and cast into small, private hearths just as the daytime full moon crests.

The Silent Hunt

Lalumists observe the night through a communal fast followed by a silent, predawn forage in the woods.

Speaking is forbidden until the first ray of dawn breaks the moon’s light, emphasizing a return to animalistic quietude and deep listening to nature.

The Clearing of the Bough

Followers ritually slash or prune blighted branches from trees in Lalume’s name, channeling their accumulated grudges and toxic internal static into physical labor that heals the surrounding ecosystem.

Breaking the sanctity is viewed as upsetting natural balance and bringing personal misfortune.

The Petofi Sect

In the Petofi sect of Lalumism, the Crimson Requiem is strictly a day of observation and a yearly reset featuring three laws as vessels: No killing, No noise, and No bloodshed.

They have no overarching practices or burning effigies. Instead, the day is devoted to a quiet reevaluation and observation of the past year and a clearing of agendas and plans to reset for the next year cycle, forgetting old scars and moving forward.

Many Petofi archivist treat March 15th as the beginning of the year and not starting off the year right signals an entire year of misfortune.

II. PENTAGONISM: The Synthesized Pantheon

Pentagonism is the dominant geopolitical religion on Kepler, approximately 350 years old.

Pentagonism is a heavily structured polytheistic faith that is believed to have been started in Sang in year 50 BXE and exploded in popularity across Sang shortly after the Convergence War. It absorbs historical figures, including Sir Magna Carta, into a rigid hierarchy that maps five divine aspects directly to the fundamental classes of Psinecraft.

Official State Religion: Sang.

Observed by Many: Evelyn, Hordad, Uttaria, Arkan Dominion.

1. Aurivi (The Aurivian)

Domain: God of Creation (Humanity, Flora, Fauna, Planets).

Attribute: Omnipotent.

Psinecraft Alignment: The Manifester Class (Absolute Genesis).

Historical Incarnation: Sir Magna Carta.

2. Lalume

Domain: Goddess of Liberty, Luck, Nature, and Desire.

Attribute: Omnibenevolent.

Psinecraft Alignment: The Moderator Class (The Mandate of Free Will, Individual Identity and Consciousness).

Historical Incarnation: Lady Lalume.

3. Omnirius

Domain: Goddess of Balance, Order, Wisdom, the Subconscious, and Dreams.

Attribute: Omniscient.

Psinecraft Alignment: The Manipulator Class (Absolute Manipulation).

Perspective: “Too much of one thing is good for nothing.” Omnirius guides the minds of mortals toward good to preserve the universe.

Historical Incarnation: Oronai Amakusaye.

4. Zarythos

Domain: God of Realms. Presides over Space, The Elysium of Heaven, The Hellish Abyss of Despair, and The Void of Nothingness.

Attribute: The Eternal.

Psinecraft Alignment: The Class Exemption (The Void).

Historical Incarnation: None.

5. Ligeia

Domain: God/Goddess of Chaos, Misfortune, Death, and Destruction (The Grim Reaper).

Attribute: Omnipresent.

Psinecraft Alignment: The Modifier Class (Absolute Annihilation).

Historical Incarnation: Petar Blagojevich.

Radical Belief: Radical sects of Pentagonism firmly believe that the modern anomaly, Tulburo Lume, is a reincarnation of Ligeia walking Kepler to initiate the end of days.

Prayer

Pentagonists pray 5 times a day, once to each god, while facing the Alba Luli River that runs through all of Northern Jureslavia into a minor passage of southern Sang.

Radical Beliefs

Some extreme Pentagonist sects believe Tulburo Lume is a reincarnation of Ligeia walking Kepler to initiate the end of days.

Breaking sacred laws without equal penance incurs cosmic backlash.

The Crimson Requiem & Lassungnacht

For Pentagonists, the Crimson Requiem is a rigid 3-day spiritual rite beginning March 13 and culminating on March 15 with Lassungnacht, the Night of Unburdening.

Rules

No bloodshed, no noise, and no killing are enforced across all three days, viewed by some sects as consecutive sacrifices.

Lassungnacht Traditions

Believing toxic guilt accumulates in the blood, the night utilizes destruction as a holy necessity.

Wax Confessions

Sins are written on crimson wax and burned in the middle of a town square.

Equal Penance

If someone breaks the law of no killing or bloodshed, an equal sacrifice must be made to balance the misdeeds or risk the individual or their inner circle incurring cosmic backlash.

The exact parameters of what an inner circle is — from family to friends to community to town, etc. — remain unknown, but believers will often take drastic measures to avoid backlash.

The Remaining Laws

There is another countermeasure to equal penance that some may take when unsure: the absoluteness of the remaining unbroken laws.

III. CARTAISM VS. NEO-CARTAISM

Cartaism and Neo-Cartaism represent the newest religious lineage on Kepler. Cartaism is approximately 190 years old, while Neo-Cartaism is approximately 105 years old.

The evolution of Cartaism represents one of the most volatile ideological schisms on Kepler. Born from the legacy of Sir Magna Carta, the faith fractured when state authorities weaponized his teachings into a tool for totalitarianism, forcing traditionalists into deep underground resistance.

Official State Religion: Holy Metzia — Neo-Cartaism.

Cartaism is a grassroots philosophy born out of the aftermath of the Convergence War, centered entirely around individual liberty, heroic self-sacrifice, and the untethered use of freedom.

Core Philosophy

Cartaists view Sir Magna Carta not as an absolute monarch or a god of law, but as the ultimate vanguard of free will.

They believe that true heroism means stepping into chaos to protect the vulnerable, operating on a moral code that transcends institutional borders.

The View of the Book of Canonization

To a Cartaist, the Book of Canonization is a historical beacon of potential — a testament to what a human can achieve against cosmic odds, rather than a legal leash to bind society.

Neo-Cartaism is a radical, pragmatic deviation that completely subverts Cartaism. It strips away organic heroism and replaces it with the rigid, totalitarian worship of state-enforced order.

Core Philosophy

Neo-Cartaists teach that human sin is a fatal contagion. Peace is not a natural state; it is an artificial construct that must be forcefully engineered through absolute laws and divine rules.

The Unified Deity Heresy

Neo-Cartaists commit what Lalumists consider supreme heresy: they officially merge Lalume and Sir Magna Carta into a single entity, claiming his departure left behind the Book of Canonization as a literal, divine contract to subjugate chaos.

The Caste Architecture

Neo-Cartaism enforces strict societal stratification through theological dehumanization.

The Cursed

Strigois, viewed as biological anomalies that defy divine order.

The Forsaken

Normans, viewed as spiritually hollow masses requiring a guiding hand.

The Corrupted

Espers who utilize their blessings outside of approved parameters.
